[Bibliodyssey!] [The British Library!] [Coconino!] [Covered!] [Drawn!] [Grandma

Scenario: the open (presumably Microsoft) initiatives (MyWikiBiz, Gregory Kohs) and veiled remunerated activity on Wikipedia, either in creating or editing the articles. One problem: the MyWikiBiz clashed with Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia, which ranked the proposed Kohs as "unethical". Kohs paid advisory services for brands, products and companies are taking advantage of Wikipedia as a vehicle. Some questions: in what respect cinemark bh the enterprise Kohs hurt (if it hurts) Wikipedian ethics? What distinguishes the open development of the Kohs surreptitiously paid initiatives active in Wikipedia? What distinguishes the articles produced by knowingly pay for customers on the one hand, the entries cinemark bh as Wal-Mart and Coca-Cola, existing from another? (Or: the inclusion of a topic "criticisms" makes a difference?) Why Wikipedia instead of Helium? (Based on information from Wikipedia, MyWikiBiz, The Washington Post and various blogs and mailing lists devoted some space to the subject, especially in the last two days.) Do not know yet if issues are firm enough. Publish something in a few hours, so wake up. ------- Update (26/01): cinemark bh I woke up, the 25th passed and not yet written anything. I think the next opportunity to deal with this is day 28.
