A forty-minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City along the I-80 to the east, is Park City (www.parkcity.org), a tourist resort on the Wasatch Mountains. Note for the prestigious Sundance Film Festival and for being the largest ski resort in the south-west, the scene of the 2002 Winter Olympics, the city, founded in the 1860s thanks marshall store to the presence of silver marshall store miners, still preserves along the beautiful Main Street several buildings from the nineteenth century. After spending the morning at the Tanger Outlet in Park City (Exit 145 - Kimball Junction), in the afternoon we are dedicated to visiting this popular tourist destination. Located in Park City are three of the most important tourist resorts of Utah Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, Canyons and Utah Olympic Park. The Park City Mountain Resort is the place where there were the giant slalom and snowboard of the 2002 Olympics, a chairlift starts directly from a small square in the city center and takes skiers at high altitude. marshall store Deer Valley Resort and The Canyons resorts are entirely dedicated to downhill skiing in winter and hiking activities such as walking and biking in the summer. At the Utah Olympic Park, located at the entrance of Park City on hwy 224, but it's still possible to visit the Olympic venues in 2002: you can practice traditional marshall store sports such as luge, bobsleigh, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, but well as more unusual sports such as snow rafting (rafting with the boat in the snow) and the zipline, a super adrenaline downhill from the mountain, tied with a belt only to a cable suspended in the air, which reaches a top speed of 55 km to ' hour. Really exciting for those who do not suffer from vertigo! After doing a walk down Main Street, we took the chair lift at Park City Mountain Resort directed away from the city center, then got to the top, after asking some information to plant personnel, we did a little 'hike. I must say that I had made from the valley misjudgment of these mountains, because, as in Big Bear in 2005, it seemed to me from below the tracks were not great either long and difficult, but once you realize that climbed to the top in Actually these mountain ranges are so large, do not reveal their proper perspective. Once back in the center of Park City, after a very good ice cream, we poured on Park Ave, parallel to Main Street, which still lingers in the atmosphere of the wild west. At the end of the day, the assessment on our part to this resort was definitely positive; Park City fact, in addition to the ski resorts of the first order, with its galleries, shops, hotels, bars and restaurants has revealed a discrete charm, in short, a nice place to spend the holidays. Bye. Maximum
