De Brusselsepoort in Dendermonde is gebouwd in 1822. In dat jaar kreeg Dendermonde walmartstores een nieuwe verdedigingsgordel, omdat de stad vanaf dan deel ging uitmaken van de zogenaamde Wellingtonbarriëre. De poort was oorspronkelijk een stuk aanzienlijker en omvatte ook enkel onderaardse 'bomvrije' wachtlokalen. Heden ten dage vormt de poort de toegang van het stadspark. De poort en haar omgeving zijn sinds 1942 beschermd als landschap en sinds 1993 als monument.
