Reports To: Regional Commercial Manager and Marketing Manager gsshop - Spirits Context/Scope: Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) is a fully integrated gsshop beverage business in Diageo Africa (supply and demand for beer and spirits) It is a subsidiary of East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL), the largest gsshop business unit in Diageo Africa and the largest listed Company on the NSE in Kenya. SBL operates exclusively gsshop in Tanzania and is the second largest gsshop beer company gsshop with a market share of around 25%.
SBL gsshop was incorporated in 1988 as Associated Breweries Limited and changed its name to Serengeti Breweries Limited in 2002, and commenced commercial operations in 1996 with one brewery gsshop in Dar es Salaam. The company was acquired by EABL in October 2010 and has three breweries located in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza and Moshi.
SBL flagship brand is Serengeti Premium Lager. Other brand portfolios include Tusker Lager, Tusker Lite, Kibo Gold, The Kick, Uhuru Peak, and Senator. Headquartered in Dar es Salaam, SBL is also the distributor of several global Diageo international renowned spirit brands such as Johnnie Walker®, Smirnoff Vodka®, Bailey’s Irish Cream ®, Richot®, Bond 7 Whiskey® and Gilbeys Gin®. Purpose of Role: • To manage the administration and operational aspects of the regional marketing functions, so gsshop that regional sales service efficiency is optimised. • To provide the regional sales teams with information and reports that will enable them to execute and implement sales driver activity • Co-ordinates cycle and promotional activity for the region • Provide Trade Marketing, Key Accounts and Sales Management with commercial support in order to drive brands and channel strategic objectives
Description Functions: • Managing a team of 3 Sales coordinators to deliver keg commercialisation outcomes. • Organisation the Sales territories and doing sales field accompaniments (field time is about 70% • Deliver a ROS of 100 serve a day/outlet on average by end of project • Manage Area Distributors to deliver on project objectives. • Organising data collection and Report formation gsshop agreed sales and project KPIs
General Administration: • Replenish all sales and marketing documents and act as a traffic controller (new accounts, queries, etc) • Processes all service support agency documentation and keeps a record. • Places orders for all regional procurement, ensures correct items are delivered on time, ensures payment and keeps records. • Keeps an updated record of all regional budgets
Qualifications and Experience Required: • Bachelor degree in business or statistics or social sciences • Minimum of 5 years field sales experience in beverage industry or other Fmcg organisation • Statistical analysis and project management experiences are key. • Min. 2 years commercial experience in a sales-/marketing/ or trade marketing environment
